Assistants in Focus Series 3 - Jealousy

This is another problem that happens between those who serve God and has weakened a lot the body of assistants. Although everyone knows that jealousy is a work of the flesh, in everyday life it seems to be something difficult to master. Then confusion begins and the he said she said, "the pastor only relies on her,” "she is the only one asked to do everything," "it seems like there's no more assistants in the church, they only have eyes for the same people”, and start having bad eyes and become sad. As you can see, a problem pulls another, and what was only jealousy it has now provoked bad eyes, sadness and therefore a dirty heart, everything originating from an emotional heart. Such feelings do not help the work of God, on the contrary, the devil distracts you with that and keeps you from concentrating on doing your job as an assistant, which is taking care of the people, praying for them and mentoring.
Perhaps the other assistant is more available, has more time and the pastor can count more on her, but that does not mean that she is more important or that the pastor despises you. Do not worry if you are asked to do things or given responsibilities, from the moment you were lifted as an assistant you already have a big responsibility given by God, do you need anything else? There are so many things you can do and perhaps you're standing there, noticing the others and waiting for the pastor to call you to give you a responsibility, you are wasting time my friend. Task: You are going stop looking to others and will focus on doing the work of God, which you were called for. Then from now on, you are going to attend a person always when you go to church, you will accompany that person spiritually and pray for them. When you begin to see the problems that people have been living, you will cease to look at things that do not matter and value more the souls. “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”Galatians 5:10-21 Those who are taking this initiative, leave us a comment.

  1. 'Many servants have jealousy indeed. They have to focus on the things of God. How can a person be a servant of God and have jealousy? They will start to develop pride and end up leaving the presence of God.' James

'Let's live for God and not man, let's do the things of God in the right and proper way and stop watching each other, what he/she is doing, be in the Spirit of God'.Joan

'The devil uses jealousy which is a work of the flesh to distract us from doing our job as an assistant, which is taking care of the church that God has trusted in our hands by praying and mentoring them, so they would remain in the presence of God.' Melissa

'It is true in the work of God there is jealousy, there is always someone who is jealous of another person, thinking that the Pastor likes that person more than the other one because the pastor always give that person something to do'. Barbara

'As servants of God, we must take a daily note of our heart and ensure that our eyes are not getting dark. There will always be assistants who are asked to do more than other assistants because that assistant is the one that the Holy Spirit can count on. Instead of having discussions with the devil (because these thoughts come from the hell) why not inquire of the Holy Spirit what is it more that you can do in the church after all we're here to please God and not see who the Pastor is or is not calling on.' 2. 'Jealousy is one of the ways that the devil use to attack us. We should be vigilant and not allow ourselves in this position than we must realize that our spiritual life is weak. Satan has no bounds and he is always trying to find a way to divide and conquer. So let's clean up and do God's will and not look at others.' Diane

'An assistant should never be jealous against another assistant, instead we should pull together as a team by putting aside our feelings, because if we are emotional then we won't be able to take care of the people and also this will help to distract us from our responsibilities in doing the work of God'. Duncan

'As an assistant we need to seek more of the Holy Spirit and less of the fleshly desire. Jealousy is the work of the flesh and the devil uses it to cause division amongst the assistants to divide and conquer. When the assistants are not united there will be no strength to fight against the devil. Assistants need to know who they are servings and do the will of God not the will of man. Assistants need not give space to the devil to destroy the work of God'. Jennifer Whyte.

  3. In these days of austerity along with relative anxiousness about getting debt,
some people balk about the idea of using a credit card to make purchase of merchandise or pay for
any occasion, preferring, instead only to rely on a tried along with trusted technique
of making transaction - cash. However, if you have the cash on hand to make the purchase 100
%, then, paradoxically, that's the best time to use the card
    for several causes.
