The fact that you’re going to fall at some point in your life is practically guaranteed. It seems to be something that mankind specializes in. Slipping up at work, in a relationship, your spiritual life, your finances, in decisions, business, friendships, opinions, your own expectations… the rocks along the way are by no means in shortage.
But slipping or tripping is not the main problem. The biggest mistake many make is to fall and stay down rolling around in their self-pity. Feeling sorry for oneself, ready to blame anything and anyone for the fall, pity-parties and the victim spirit.
Many of those who fell are still down though they could already be on their feet getting ahead, if they only stopped looking back.
The question is:
How fast will you get up?
After you fall down the only useful thing to do is to get back up and move forward, the difference being that this time you know how to avoid falling again.
Without a doubt, avoiding the fall is the best option. But if it happened, get up. Quickly. Look forward.
And don’t fall anymore.

ReplyDeleteThis is a true lesson we may fall but if we are determine to rise we can.One of the most thing is how may times have we fallen?but how many times have we gotten back up again?in Ps 37 vs 23-24 cit told us that The steps of a man is ordered by God and read 24 it says thou you may fall we should not stay down,if we are saved and we fall,his hands are stretched out to help us God wants us to know that he loves us and he wants us to come back.None of us are perfect but if we fall we should resist the devil and he will flee from us we must not be discourage,or be sad, and we must be determine to become a better person,by confessing our sins determine never to give up. We must always get up again Almost every one of us become weak at point,in life and fail spiritually we can start all over again, we must repent, recognize,reassure and restore.and let God do the rest in our life.
ReplyDeleteThis is very inspiring, I saw many people that already had their failures but instead for them to stand up , they just stay lying down waiting for others to get them up, but in reality , they actually have their own strength to fight again! Just to conclude as I read this message, I remembered this verse

Though I've heard this message several times about getting up when we fall not and staying down it never gets old, hearing it each time is like a renewal and an empowerment to actually get back up. Most important is to not make the same mistakes twice because the fall will be greater.
ReplyDeleteIf I continue to look at in my past then I will not be able to go forward. Like I remember in one meeting, life sometimes put you down but you can also use that downfall to lift you up and even to help others. Faith is not feelings, feeling sorry for oneself will not change anything but when you do something it and to also not to go back to it that's when changes start. You may fall but never stay down.

ReplyDeletethis is so true, many of us when we fall we tend to give up and think the race ( that is saving souls for the kingdom of god) is over and we won't win the race but what we must know is that we must get up immediately and don"t even worry about to dusting ourselves off but to continue and win the race because saving the souls are far much greater than being dirty when we fall. ReplyDeletebishop i agree with you because the race we are running is not for ourselves but for our Lord Jesus Christ, He has entrust reward at the end of the race (the souls) but it is up to us whether we will finish the race even if we fall or when fall we stayed down and put shame to the Lord's name for entrusting such a wonderful responsibility in our hands and we have let him down. ReplyDeleteThis is so true, instead we pick up ourself and move on we're there dweling in the past, because if we keep on dwelling in the past we'll reach nowhere in life. Like the song said if you fall, dust yourself off and go again. We fall down but we get up. What I also understand is mistake will be for sure, but when we make a mistake we must confess, meaning humble ourself enough to say, you know I made a mistake, It is as easy as that. When we make a mistake is how well we learn from that mistake, and that is the most important thing. We have to make mistake to learn and then go forward in life. Everything in life is a process.

So it is with our spiritual lives. the longer we wallow in self pity, the longer we take to get back on track We will make mistakes yes we will fall, but we have to determine the outcome of that fall.
