There are some things written in Scripture that seem strange, others don’t make much sense, but they all lead us to very serious reflections concerning our spirituality.
An example of this is the ‘Subject of Fear'.
How can He tell us, 366 times, "do not fear nothing or anybody," and at the end of the Bible, when He speaks about the salvation of the soul, He approves fear?
Is He contradicting Himself?
Is God confused?
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Philippians 2:12
Surely, He is not a confused God.
Because, this is the only "Fear" He approves!
The Fear of losing the greatest asset we have gained in our relationship with God: eternal life, the Crown of Life, our Salvation!
We are allowed to have this fear!

We most try our very best to keep what we have, which is our Salvation. It is better to have and keep at all cost than to have and then loose, so as the sripture says; the fear of God is the BEGINNING OF WISDOM.

(What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose your own soul.) Salvation is no game to play with, it is very precious and that is why the devil works in many ways for us to loose this fear. We must gaurd it with our everything and this fear one most never loose inorder to inherit the crown of life.

I must have this FEAR for God,because I have work hard to gain my salvation from Him and He show me how to maintain and keep it daily. So i know this FEAR His love for me and get my crown in Heaven.

ReplyDeleteAs the message say the only fear that God will approve is the fear of loosing our salvation.When we have the Spirit of God in us we do not fear the things of this world. 2 Timothy 1vs7 " For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;but of power, and of love, and a sound mind".
ReplyDeleteI confess the fear of being separated from God is etched deeply inside of me. Every time I think about this I examine myself a little asking for forgiveness for the wrongs I've done. I agree this is the only fear we need to have, with love, respect and trembling. Jesus had the most difficult time during the crucifixion because of the separation from the Father, how much more us.
ReplyDeleteI have learnt that having nice clothes, nice shoes, hair well done, makeup flawless though they all sound nice and may even look nice these beautiful thisngs do not save anyones soul, it is all good to have these thisg, but, pay close attension to your salvation, have the fear of not wanting to lose your salvation it is the only fear that god approves. ReplyDeleteThe fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgement, so it is better to have and fight to keep than to have and loose. Salvation is personal therefore every second we have to fight and keep it.

I understood that the spirit of fear does not come from God, God gives the spirit of power, he wants us to be strong to overcome in this world because He knows that many things will come against our faith but when it comes to eternal life we have to be fearful in terms of being very keen and zealous to conquer and keep our salvation we have to continually keep watch over our soul careful everyday to not lose our salvation.
ReplyDeleteThere are two kinds of fear, beneficial fear and that's the fear of the Lord. Fear of the Lord does not mean to be afraid of something its, reverence of the power of God and this brings blessings and benefit.
ReplyDeletethe next fear is detriment and this mean, to overcome Isiah 41v10 says"do not fear for i am with you,psalm 56 vs 11 in God i trust i will not be afraid.When we learn to trust God we will not be afraid of things that comes against us.we need to know God trust him and know that he is good.

My name is Anthony Dockery i do FEAR God,because when the Holy Spirit come up on you spirit for wisdom,understanding,counsel,might,knowledge and on of the fear of the Lord. This is character of God these seven spirit's this is the FEAR of the Lord.
ReplyDeleteThis message is very interesting, because if we don't have fear for the word of GOD and the things of GOD what is going to happen to us. What I understand is the more we worry, the more the demon is going to come back in the life of the person, a person that is proud don't have the fear of God, because if I have the fear of GOD then I must hate the things of the devil. That is why we have to work out our own SALVATION with fear and trembling. In matthew 10v28 it said do not fear the one that kill the body, but fear the one that can kill both the body and the soul. The fear of the LORD is our strength. THANK YOU MY LORD.
ReplyDeletei understand when God approves fear it is not for us to be afraid or coward but to have inside of us that this thought that it doesn't matter what we cannot allow any thing cause us to lose our salvation and as a result we have this thing always inside of us to keep focus, and being afraid of anything that is a risk for us to lose our salvation.
