THE PURPOSE OF THE DEVIL

Photo: THE PURPOSE OF THE DEVIL

"Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time." (Revelation 12:12)

The devil knows that his days are counted. He knows that there is a place of eternal punishment, prepared for him and his followers.
while his end does not come, satan uses all his forces to destroy the human beings, who are God's masterpiece.

He does that because he is envious, as he was banned and lost the condition of angel of light when he tried to steal the throne of God.

His biggest purpose was to exalt his name above the stars, or rather, to possess the dominium and the power that belong to the Creator and, in this way, become like the Almighty:

"How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit." (Isaiah 14:12-15)

Frustrated in his plans, now he tries to take more people as possible to eternal death. The Lord Jesus resumed the purposes of the devil in three concepts: death, theft and destruction.
That's what he has done in all history of mankind:

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy..." (John 10:10)

God bless you.
