As quoted by Les Brown, "change is difficult but often essential to survival." Life overall require changes but how much more should one give for the Spiritual life, even thou your flesh will not like but you push yourself and demands changes in yourself in order to glorify the name of Christ in your life and conquer eternal life with Him.
whenever pride takes over a person every acces point to him/her is blocked.the same way we feed our stomach is the same we have to feed our spiritual life or else we will get weak and fed up of the smallest of situations in our lives, and just give up because we think there is nothinng to hold on to, but if the spiritual life was being fed a warfare had to take place because the spirit will not accept to be defeated by the flesh.repeat. "and be renewed in the spirit of your mind" very strong words from the apostle paul indeed.
Change is really truly one of the hardest things but if we humble ourselves and open our minds to having new thoughts and experiences everyday we will be refreshed in every area of our lives. I'm going to work on this.
I think the initial human reaction to almost every correction is pride and that's why we need to starve it until it dies. I agree as we get older we never stop learning and that's why we have to humble ourselves and continually renew our mind. Seeing everything as a learning experience can help us to do that.
