TWO STORIES, ONE CONFLICT

All of us have at least two stories inside of us. One has a happy ending, the other has a horrible ending. Good and evil. Faith and doubt. Love and loneliness. Health and sickness. Always wishing for one and fearing the other.

There once lived a man named Jacob who lived in this conflict almost all his life. The clock of God works correctly, it doesn’t delay or advance

Among the Jews in Jesus’ time, there was a belief that when a person dies, the soul leaves the body only after the third day. So then after the fourth day, according to their belief, only the Messiah could raise the dead.

Interesting to note that purposely, the Lord Jesus took four days to go to Lazarus. And for that reason, He received a slight criticism from the dead’ sister:
"If You were here, my brother had not died" (John 11).
In Martha’s view, God has been delayed.

tree.
